How to Join Council 11670 at St. Joseph’s Parish Directly
Applications are provided online above. You may also contact our Grand Knight directly by email as provided on the Contact page if would like to join our order or transfer to our council directly.
Membership in the Knights of Columbus is open to practicing Catholic men in union with the Holy See, who are at least 18 years old. A practicing Catholic is one who lives up to the Commandments of God and the precepts of the Church.
Aspiring new members, once the necessary Council documentations are completed, are introduced at the next General Meeting at which time a vote by all members present determines if the applications are carried subject to the Exemplification required of all welcomed members before becoming Knights.
Through the Exemplification ceremony new members immediately become Knights of Columbus attached to St. Joseph’s Council, no. 11670.
A new Council 11670 Exemplification Degree team is led by Br. David Cupido and four other Knights who attend to the necessary requirements and logistics for the Mass followed by a 30 minute ceremony to which all family members are welcomed.
The only other Exemplification Degree is that of a Sir Knight through the local Kingston Archdiocesan Assembly, Archbishop J.V. Cleary Assembly 0857 @ https://ontariokofc.ca/2016/11/20/archbishop-j-v-cleary-assembly-0857-2/
Recruitment for Council 11670
Recruitment of new members is a necessity to maintain the viability of any organization. Our recruitment process is actively encouraging every Knight to invite new members to join. Once a person is so identified the completed application form with its relevant information is used for ongoing statistical and communication requirements.
Council 11670 is one of three other area Councils that combine to form District 20. These Districts are then combined into the Archdiocesan Association of Kingston.
